Bai Mu Dan , known as White Peony , is one of the most important white teas originating from the Fuding region of Fujian Province, China. This tea is made from young, carefully picked buds and the first two leaves, which are minimally processed to preserve their natural freshness and delicate taste .

Bai Mu Dan is characterized by a slightly sweet taste with subtle floral and fruity notes reminiscent of peonies and fresh fruit . Its light infusion and light, refreshing taste make it an ideal choice for those looking for a delicate yet complex tea experience. With its delicate processing and high quality, Bai Mu Dan is a fine example of traditional Fuding white tea. It has less caffeine than other teas , so it is also suitable for drinking in the afternoon and late hours

Classic preparation in a teapot (500 ml):

  • Amount of tea: 8 grams
  • Water temperature: 80 °C
  • First Infusion: Infuse for 120 seconds.
  • Second and third infusions: Increase the water temperature by 5°C and infuse each infusion 60 seconds longer than the previous one.

Preparation in gaiwan (100 ml):

  • Amount of tea: 4 grams
  • Water temperature: 90 °C
  • First infusion: Infuse for 30 seconds.
  • Additional infusions: Infuse successively for 45 seconds for the second and third infusions, then 60 and 90 seconds for further infusions.
