Tea in a bag is seen by some die-hards as a concession to quality and taste. But we believe that under certain conditions, a tea bag is a safe haven, not a cruel prison.
According to legend, the man was Thomas Sullivan - one of America's biggest tea importers in the early 20th century. He cut tea samples into small silk bags, never thinking that customers would dip the whole bag in hot water. Today, we don't know who came up with the idea. He was probably fed up with scrubbing the teapot, or he simply didn't like the fact that the strainer let a bit of leaf through now and then, which then stayed in the drink.
In any case, the practical packaging of a precisely measured portion of tea for one cup soon won its fans. Sullivan, being a good businessman, naturally responded to this, and moreover, he soon stopped using silk, as its dense textile weave did not allow for optimal leaching of the tea. It was therefore replaced by a more suitable gauze-based fabric. And nothing stood in the way of the tea bag era.
It would be a mistake to think that the mere placement of tea leaves in a bag degrades the resulting beverage. Just as there are lower and higher quality loose-leaf teas, the same is true for bagged teas.
That's why even with us - and we really care about quality - you can find high quality bagged teas, which make a drink that is completely comparable in taste and aroma to loose tea. Our offer will satisfy you who adore English classics - you can choose from English Breakfast, Darjeeling and the much-loved Earl Grey (all in organic quality), as well as customers who prefer green teas - whether pure or with jasmine (again in organic quality). In addition, we have also added Ayurvedic DETOX tea and as a bonus a gift set in which in addition to black teas and green teas you will also find fruit and herbal teas.
