Trung Nguyen – first-class coffee from the mountains of Vietnam
The unique taste and aroma of Vietnamese coffee should not be missed by any lover of this drink.
Most people don't associate coffee with Vietnam. The aroma of a favorite drink usually evokes the image of Brazilian or Colombian natural scenery. At the same time , Vietnam is surprisingly the second largest coffee exporter today . And the biggest share in exports is the brand...
Trung Nguyen
It is coffee grown in the perfect climatic conditions of the mountains of central Vietnam and processed with the utmost care . About the production of certified growers, usually smaller farmers, who use traditional methods of drying and further processing of coffee beans.
To jump into history
The history of the Trung Nguyen brand does not have such roots as many would expect. The company was founded on June 16, 1996 by Dang Le Nguyen in the city of Buon Ma Thuot, which today is considered the coffee capital of Vietnam. The founder's only initial capital was an old bicycle and a huge appetite spiced with youthful enthusiasm. Nguyen's goal was nothing less than to introduce the world to the quality of Vietnamese coffee .
Two years later, he opened his first cafe, followed it up with other branches within the company chain, and in 2001 he already had successful franchises in Japan and Singapore.
In 2010, the company could boast that it exports coffee to more than sixty countries around the world, and Trung Nguyen is clearly one of the most sought-after coffee brands in Vietnam.
For better orientation
If you choose Trung Nguyen coffee, you will find that it has several different lines today. The original one - Creative - is also marked with numbers from one to five, or eight.
The first classification tells about the ratio of robusta and arabica, when <a href="https://www.gourmetkava.cz/cs/kava/trung-nguyen-creative-5-kava-mleta-172p">five means 100% arabica. The number eight is reserved for the kind that imitates civet coffee (the coffee beans have been treated exclusively with special enzymes, which all animal protectionists will surely appreciate).
The taste of both types of coffee is incredibly close, but in the case of the Vietnamese "eight" it is not such an onslaught on your wallet.
The taste of coffee supported by traditional preparation
If you want to enjoy Vietnamese coffee, you should prepare it according to tradition. This means usinga coffee Phin filter . If you don't have one yet, then reach for a French press . The coffee is ground coarsely to meet the demands of traditional preparation. The coarseness of the grinding will therefore suit the French press just mentioned.
You should drink it properly with condensed milk and ice. However, even if you serve it according to your habits, it is definitely a coffee that is worth tasting.
