Cezve (Turkish coffee)

The cezve or Turkish Ibrik, is an old way of making coffee, which is now used mainly in Turkey, but Turkish coffee is also popular in Western countries. In the Czech Republic, it can remind us of the preparation of the so-called Turkish coffee , but it is not the same . The coffee is poured directly after the preparation and doesn't remain in the cezve so no unwanted substances are extracted into it. Cezves are made using differently decorated metallic materials, but traditional cezve is made by hand from copper and are tinned inside.

What is a jazz band?

A coffee maker is a special container designed for making Turkish coffee in the traditional way. However, it is based on a very long tradition. For true lovers of this beverage, the jezeva is an essential part of the home kit. The coffee from a jazva definitely does not taste the same as Czech Turkish coffee. The drink does not stand in it at all and no harmful substances are extracted.

Benefits of coffee from a coffee pot:

  • Unusual taste with a long tradition
  • Decorative element for the interior
  • Low-maintenance coffee pot
  • You can create a pleasant ritual around the preparation of coffee in a coffee pot

Making traditional Turkish coffee is not difficult at all, but there are a few rules to follow. If you're not sure how to proceed, we've put together a practical guide.

How many types of java are there?

Made java has a really long tradition, and it is often the case that it is also a handmade artisanal product. Nevertheless, modern stainless steel versions are also appearing on the market.

  1. Stove Top Jazzware - A really traditional version of a gas or electric stove top jazzware. Usually copper or stainless steel, hand crafted and oriental designs are also common.
  2. Induction Pitcher - A pitcher equipped with a special magnetic bottom to work on induction cooktops.
  3. Electric Jazzwa - this type of jazzwa features its own heat source, just plug it into the mains. It is very suitable for travelling or for kitchens with small hobs.

Careful of the right handle

One of the most important parts of a java is the handle. Especially if you use the Jazzercise a lot, you need to choose a handle made of the right material. With a well-chosen handle, you can use the jazz unit safely and comfortably.

Plastic ones are well heat-insulated, but they may have a lower durability. They will heat up and fall off. The aesthetic value is also not very high. On the other hand, metal handles blend very well with the metal body of a typical jazzwave, however, with our jazzwave handles, they don't burn unless you put it perhaps right over a campfire :-)
